SMS via Skype to issue commands

I am a newbie.  Be patient.
Can I use Skype to create SMS text to issue anti-theft commands?  This would be from my Galaxy tab (wireless only) to my 2.3 android phone.

Which format Skype SMS does use? Is there any other additions to SMS?

I did it for you. It works here - but it might be different at your place.

I want to be able to use the "locate" function of the app.   I don't see how do this.
