ZoneAlarm Free (Help)

I have ZoneAlarms free firewall and then loaded the free Avast Antivirus. When the message came up that they were not compatable I clicked yes and followed the instructions. I then found this forum and have read that I should have clicked no and that it should be changed. My problem is I'm new to all this and have no idea how to go about changing this. Any help would be appreciated.

OK, I think I fixed it. I found the avast4.ini file and the line reads ZoneAlarmCompatibility=1. I also went back and unchecked the use a proxy server box that it had me check in the tutorial during setup. If I missed anything or did something wrong I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

avast! Web Shield compatibility dialogue - Install/Update Question - YES or NO

If you are using ZoneAlarm Free you should click NO, because privacy features are not present in ZoneAlarm Free this will not turn off webshield transparent mode proxy. Locate the line containing ZoneAlarmCompatibility and delete that line. Save the edited avast4.ini file. More info, just click 'Settings' in my signature.
