Updates expiration
« on: May 21, 2005, 05:35:39 PM »
Hi,
When I switch my PC on, Avast (version 4.6) gives me a message saying that the "updates will expire on 1st June 2005".
As I have the Home version, which I understood is free, I don't understand what will happen on 1st June.

Will Avast stop working that day ?

What should I do ?

Thanks

Hi there, you'll have to re-register to get another Registration code, in order to keep getting updates.   ;D

Note:  Your avast! will still be working, but you won't recieve updates anymore once the code is expired.

It doesn't matter you have avast home edition installed. Of course it's free, but you still have to register each year to be able to download virus definition updates.

It's a small price for what you get in return... best possible antivirus protection out there.
