Try to repair or reinstall Avast, maybe your instalation is corrupted :-\
To repair go to: start-->control panel-->add or remove programs-->avast antivirus-->click remove-->scroll down and click repair

Are you getting any errors displayed to the screen ?

What is your internet connection, broadband, dial-up, etc. ?

Do you use a proxy to connect to the internet ?

Yeah, I figure out the proble about 2 hours ago :). It was the date that wasn't set right. It was set on 2010, not 2009. Thanks for all your helps guys/gals :)
