Title: I love Avast
Post by: jayt on March 03, 2011, 06:47:24 PM: I have used Avast off and on for many years. I had gotten a little turned off by the former Gui (the one that looked like a jukebox). However, with version 5 I have begin using it again. Am on version 6 now. I have absolutely no problems with it on WinXp or on Windows 7. When my subscription to Nod 32 expires I will begin using it on my Windows vista machine. The Gui is clean and well laid out. All of the reviews I have read are positive.
The thing I can't understand is why so many of the people in the forum seem to have so many problems?

Well, over 140 million users means 140 million different PC's and notebooks. And here is almost the most popular place to search or ask for answers. With so much users can't be zero problems. Who are facing any of them - we are trying to help them out. Personally, I never had any problems here.

There are much more people with zero problems that does not join the forum :)

Post by: Daris on March 04, 2011, 06:46:45 PM: Also there is so many different computer software and programs out there, and new software always coming out...So I would say "New Compatibillity Issues" Sometimes people install rogue software and programs...That is why I think this Sandbox in the Free version was an awesome idea....It will definately keep the Avast team busy, but in he long run it will help them determine and analyze new malware and build their Malware samples database much faster than the competition, and make your computer safer....
