Going from standalone to managed?
« on: November 17, 2005, 12:23:32 AM »
i have searched and coulnt find any info on this. I have 23 license keys of avast pro. I can install these as normal installs and then go to the managed version once our new server is done?

* edit -ok i think this answers my question. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=5421.0 but i just wanted to be sure  :)

You can push the installation from the managed server OVER the existing avast Pro installations. However, all settings will be lost, of course (will be taken from the server). Technically, it is equivalent to uninstalling the Pro edition and installing the managed clients - but you don't have to do the manual labour yourself.
