Avast boot cd/live cd
« on: December 14, 2010, 06:28:16 AM »
Hi,I just want to suggest that if Avast can have a boot cd or live cd other than avast boot time scan.At least, non Avast user can still temporarily use Avast! product for malware removal.Lastly,I would like to suggest that Avast can have something like Panda beagle launcher, like if one dayI suspect my computer is infected and my antivirus has not detected any malware or my antivirus detects malware, but the disinfection cannot be completed. So that user can download this software to analyze and collect data from their computer then attach the log to Avast!forum and analyze to know whether their user's computer is clean from malware or not. Thanks and regard.

Well avast has a Boot CD, it is called the avast! BART CD (http://www.avast.com/bart-cd), but it is not cheap and currently it isn't progressing very fast at all. In fact I believe they are going to revamp it and I can't recall what form that will take.
