UPS/DLH infection

I run 2 laptops, one has Avast version 6 and the other version 5.  This past week I have gotten 4 emails with either UPS delivery or DLH delivery in the subject line with a .zip attachment.  The machine with Avast 5 caught all 4 infected emails and the machine with Avast version 6 did not catch any of them.  Seems strange to me.

So both machines fetch mail`s from the same mail account ?
Is the mail scan correctly sett up in the machine with avast 6   ???
if you right click and scan the files on the avast 6 machine, does it then detect ?

Hello. Yes, I even tried putting the attachment on my desktop and right clic and scan it.  It came up with no infection found.  BUt on my other machine with Avast version 5, the virus alert sounded as soon as outlook opened and the email popped into my inbox.  I think the definition files are missing this one.
