How do I turn on real-time shields. I click fix now and it still don't work

You can test if repair (Control Panel > Programs > avast > Remove > choose Repair).
If it fails, maybe uninstalling and installing again.

Did you use Windows System Restore and got avast in a instable situation?
Did you use any other antivirus before?
