Win32:BogEnt [Susp] 11/25/2013
« on: November 26, 2013, 02:44:01 AM »
I recently got a virus alert stating Avast had blocked a suspicious file on my computer. The name of the suspicious file is Win32:BogEnt [Susp]. The location the file was found on is C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\Logs. Can anyone help me figure out if this is in fact a Virus or a False Positive? I searched online and I haven't been able to find any new information about the file in question. This is the latest information I have been able to find. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=138389.msg1011246#msg1011246

I have uploaded the file to virus total. https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/dae97c49be562da9b23cd39f19979eb5f7eb662a6453b101369f25aefb136647/analysis/1385429921/

It is related to Windows Update, so this is False Positive detection
