as stated in the subject avast! seems to replace bitdefender in the upcoming avk 2007. In case you are interested you might want to have a look at the following page:

According to that article the new combination with avast! delivered the best results while using less ressources.

Now who saw that coming?

Haha! - Smart move! 

I hope hope this will further increase the quality of avast! - Although I doubt that there will be a big exchange of know how. (Or will there be any, Vlk?  )

At least that should increase alwil's revenue and I hope they will further strengthen their development acivities... (Rootkits, anyone? )

Yes, I can now confirm this.

We have been working together with G-Data through this summer and I hope the avast- and Kaspersky- powered AVK 2007 will be a nice product.

Vlk, will it be sold by Alwil or, on contrary, it will be sold by the 3rd party G-Data without Alwil intervention and you'll receive only a % of the sold licenses?

By G-Data, of course! It's all they do, and they're pretty good at it (especially in their home market - Germany).
