Nobody has answered the question yet. VLK said more would be coming as of last week. Any updates on Avast 4.5, ADNM, BART CD 2.0? Please I would appreciate a response from the alwil staff. Thanks again in advance.

This is for VLK, Igor or any other person on the Alwil team. VLK wrote more info would be released as of last week and we still haven't heard anything at all as of yet. I was just wondering what the status of version 4.5 of Avast, ADNM, and BART CD 2.0 are? Some of the webpages need to be updated. They are still showing July. Any and all information would be very helpful as clients have asked me about the new products that are coming out soon. Thanks again in advance.

ok

It doesn't matter how many times you ask guys, they probley don't know either, we were told by them about the end of sept (this month), as they are "making" new software there will alwys be delays because of bugs ect, there is no way to tell accuratly or roughly as there is no way of telling how many more bugs will come out, or at the last miniute they might find a tweak they could do.
You shouldn't rush these things, i would rather it come out and have less bugs ect then i come out with them, wouldn't you?.

Radicalb21, if your clients keep asking you of a time, then keep saying "the end of september", inform them there is alot to do while designing software, such as packers, email engines, debugging the command lines, the smart registry scan, any inprovments, bugs ect.

I mean im no expert but i would say these would take no short time and shouldn't be rushed.

my guess is ... we should all be patient..
it's hard, but hey, why "rush" it? life's a rush because one makes it so... ;)

as they say in belgium: "haast en spoed is zelden goed"

in english: probably it won't be a good thing if you're to fast....

Or 'More Haste, Less Speed' which is a common English saying. e.g. 'The faster you go the more mistakes you are likely to make, slowing you down.'

After a major re-work to Windows xp kernel (sp2) and the summer holiday season in Europe, I am pleased that Alwil aren't rushing out a new version.

I'm happy to wait for all the testing to be done and have a stable release of the new programme.  Seems like good business sense to me.

ALWIL, but like this............ alwil.

With reverence!

Sorry, English sense of humour which doesn't always translate too well.

Hi Technical,
Thank you --  :) You caught me in a trap, though -- you quoted my mistake!

By the way, I decided to make copies of those other files; the info is in the English folder on my computer. There is some possibility that some editing was done, after all. I is good practice to make copies, anyway.
I feel like everything is in order on my computer, thanks to my friends on the forum!  8)

Sojourner,
Why are you making copies of everything? You only need a backup copy of something that you intend to change so if something goes wrong, you can correct it. Once things are working ok, the backup isn't needed. As far as the rest of the files go, they are installed by the Instalation Program so as long as you have it, making backups of all the files is a waste. But, if it makes you happy, be my guest. ;D
