« on: August 18, 2004, 04:03:40 PM »
Just set up a new system, updated all my software (AVAST FIRST OF COURSE!)
(XP Pro P4 2.4 G w/512 Ram 120 GB HD)
Did the first reboot scan and the Error 3221225506 came up.

I know there are no viruses because this was a clean install on a fresh hard drive.

any Ideas ????

What is the exact error? When do you get it? ALL security patches/updates installed? Errors in device manager? More info please.

No errors on the system, devise manager -- all clear All the latest updates except the new SP2 ( which I am going to wait on for a bit ) :'(
When I do a virus scan within windows, it scanns the same files ( looks like system .dll files ) and every thing checks out fine.

Sounds like a boot scan might be in order. Hopefully that process isn't used in safe (F8) mode.
