Avast 7 auto sandboxs chromium?
« on: February 22, 2012, 04:38:50 PM »
Chromium keeps getting auto sandboxed when i launch it and when i try to go to a website when it goes in the auto sandbox chrome.exe (Chromium process) just closes.. I tried to update chromium to the latest one from http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/index.html (under win  and its the one on the very bottom of the page/index)  avast also auto sandboxes the mini_installer.exe.. This didn't happen at all yesterday..

Edit: When i use the drop down box and click on open normally and than i click ok.. this doesn't help at all
OS:Windows7 SP1 2GB  64-bit
Avast Version: Avast free 7.0.1474
Webbrowser: Internet Explorer 9, Firefox [Default Browser]

This is a bug in the beta (will be fixed in the upcoming update).
BTW is the Chromium build digitally signed?

Thanks
Vlk

It looks like it is   see  chrome_exe_details to see the details page of chrome.exe's Properties  and see mini_installer_exe_details  for the mini installer details page of mini_installer.exe's Properties

The screenshots show that it's actually not digitally signed. Otherwise, there would be another tab called Digital Signature.

Thanks

This bug still exists, running AIS 7.0.1456 and Chromium 22.0.1228.0 (150054), I have to add command after chrome.exe to be able to run Chromium, without that command my Chromium will not run at all, it does not load any page, not even settings.

This happens while running Chromium with that command:

Without that command Chromium will not run...while using that command it makes Chromium very unsafe to use =(
