Virus Definitions update issue

For the past 3 days when Avast tries to update I am getting an error stating that the virus definition update has failed. I have tried manual update as well with same error. Everything is currently set for automatic

- Which avast!..?? (Free/Pro/IS)
- Which version..??
- OS..?? (32/64 Bit..? - which SP..?)

Im using pro. Windows 7, 64 bit, no other security software, my update section through the program states i have program version 7.0.1466. My definitions version is stuck at 120827-0. Everytime it tries to update it fails

Repair avast!:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> avast!
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.
