Scrolling with Webrep
« on: November 02, 2012, 11:34:19 PM »
Having a problem scrolling through facebook pages using Firefox with webrep enabled.

The browser completely locks up with webrep enabled and works fine with it disabled.

The only extensions I use are AdBlock Plus, Forecast Fox, and WebRep in Firefox and Chrome.

Chrome works perfectly fine with these extensions enabled.

I am using the regular updated release of Firefox and Chrome.

I have the same problem. So I started using Internet Explorer, I "Had" Chome and got rid of it. To many sites was not Chrome Friendly.

I will unable Webrep and see how FireFox acts now.

thank you for the report.  This particular problem with too many requests sent out by webrep on some pages in FF should be fixed soon (next week).  We are working on a fix.
Quality is also a feature.

I am also glad that this problem will be solved soon.  But I do not understand why there is no response to the complaint, which I left long before.  The point is that the latest version of the plugin WebRep does not react to the return to the Speed Dial tab and continues to show the rating of the previously opened tab: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=106892.msg857238#msg857238

I found a new bug in WebRep plug-in in the new version 1474. I use Speed Dial extension in my Firefox as the home page.  In previous versions the plug-in was always gray on this page, but now it is gray only at the browser's start.  If you open another tab and then close it, the plug-in continues to show the rating of that closed tab.

Windows Vista SP2
Firefox 16.0.2
Speed Dial 0.9.6.11
May the FOSS be with you!

Have there been any fix issued for this ? Lukas said that this week, but I have not read anything about it yet.

Don't see any thing funny about it. Avast! usually issues a quick fix for issues like this through its VPS. Since this memory leak in WebRep running on FF or Chrome also involves the antiphishing module, it would be important to have it fixed as soon as possible.
