Avast 8 and Flash Player (firefox?)

Hello,
after i updatet my avast to the newest version today i can't watch any videos in firefox (youtube etc.)
it goes green and flickers (i can hear the audio.) BUT it shows me the little photos when you click in the down bar to skip parts etc thats not green.
i can watch everything in google chrome
and yes before i updatet i could see the youtube videos in firefox

what is the problem here ? what can i do ?

/edit i tried to turn of Hardware Accelaration (?) and now it works, i never had to do it before.
besides that i didnt had a problem with avast 8
can be closed :)
/edit2 yes i saw that too and it works (yes amd card) still thanks though :)

Do you have an AMD graphics card, some reporting this or similar are and disabling Hardware acceleration seems to resolve it.

I have a similar problem within firefox. When I go to open the browser after using it, it opens in a blink of an eye, but when I choose to open firefox after running another program, it takes firefox almost a whole minute to open and my system acts as if it is buckling under the strain. I have reinstalled both programs avast 8 and firefox. I was on beta with firefox, but I went to the latest major release version. I removed the browser plugins and run on minimal plugins at best. RAMBACK and the normal flash 11 for youtube. I am sure Avast will correct the conflict.
