kanga virus

ok i had the win32kanga virus and got it fixed with avast but then i had no more win 32 for my comp and it wasnt allowing some programs. then today i got a download from mu server and it was http://www.snapfiles.com/php/download.php?id=107303 so installeds and then avast said it was adware and i had to put it all in the chest so now what i no longer have the windsock or what?

Hi lisa_baby66,

Maybe you mean winsock. This can be because a program was not properly de-installed or deleted. You can try to fix it with the tool found here http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm.
- Download it and run lspfix. Then your problems will be over.
After that do a full scan to see if you are clean of Kanga.

ok I did what u said to do and it said there was nothing wrong nothing to fix, so what did avast find? I have no idea i will write in the info maybe u can figure it out cuz i dont want to delete something i might need a0005512.dll c:/system volume information/_restore win32adware-g    it found dls and exes of the same and admsg[1]html

If you find a virus keeps coming back after you delete it, it's most probably infected the System Restore folder, the best way to solve this is to disable System Restore, reboot your machine and then enable it again. After all, run a full avast! scanning. System Restore cannot be disabled on Windows 9x.
