Hello to the forum  :)

If you don't see the icon, trie to DOWNLOAD RejZor Avast External Control (AEC) here >>> http://freeweb.siol.net/razor256/downloads/avast_external_control.zip
Once you have the program installed, run it and select avast! Tweeker and click on GO and then make sure the show tray icon box is checked (Select anything else that
might interest you and then click on apply.

If that don't help trie repairing avast
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair). You must be connected to the internet while repairing.

Try this >>>
It's from  Alwil website

Q: The blue ball icons have disappeared from my system tray. How to get them back there?

A: If you´re using Windows XP, the icons are probably hidden. In that case right-click on your Taskbar and choose Properties. A dialog box "Taskbar and Start menu properties" would appear. Then uncheck Hide inactive icons check box.

If you´re not using Windows XP, OR if the previous solution doesn't fix the problem, run the ashDisp.exe program (it´s in C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4 directory). It should bring the icons up again. If they disappear after restart again, make a shortcut to the ashDisp.exe file in your Start-up folder

I hope that this will work  :)
