avast & norton antivirus
« on: January 18, 2006, 06:36:27 PM »
Hello

I have a big problem. I had the Norton Antivirus on my hard disk, but I've deleted him. Now, avast tells me at each start of the windows, that I have an uncompatible antivirus, and he is not able to load some of his modules. What should I delete in my system to disable this annoying alert? (I used the RegCleaner and deleted all (?) registry entries similar to "symantec", "norton" etc. I also stopped all of symantec services, deleted all (?) files...)

Which file, or registry entry, or something else tells avast, that norton antivirus is installed on the client's computer?

Thx

you have to use the norton removing tool (rnav.exe)

Another link worth looking at which is a program removal tool, which can remove the remnants of a number of different Norton Programs:
