What do you think of this?

AV-Test.Org Releases Real-World Malware Protection Report
Not much since avast! isn't one of the products listed.   :(

VirusTotal Uploader
This little Windows Only utility automatically uploads any file to online virus scanner VirusTotal,
scanning it for viruses with 41 different popular antivirus applications—and now it's even better and faster,
with instant hash checking, letting you skip uploads altogether.

Is that new?  I'm surprised that one of us hasn't stumbled upon it earlier!

That's a nice tool.

I had it before when I was having problems with one of my own computers. I thought a temporary measure for times when still in warzone of fight with some nasty. But I can see the app in a whole different light now. Certainly part of the toolkit with all the other essentials.

img width=547 height=364]http://www.jolicloud.com/images/site/jolicloud-netbook.png[/img]
I've just finished installing the Jolicloud operating system on my computer.
I know it belongs on a Netbook but I don't yet own one.
In any case, it's a pleasure to use and doesn't mess up your Windows installation.
You can download it from here

(This message is being posted while on that operating system)

I like it. Seems like a nicer interface than some of the other linux OSes I have used in a VM and it is well optimised for the smaller screens, the only one so far that is fine in the limited size of my VM (800*600)
I also like the cloud thingy too, clever idea...

Backupify

Quote
Backupify backs up all your online accounts (Gmail, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, and a ton more) to the cloud, normally for a nominal fee—but until January 31, 2010, all Backupify accounts will be free with unlimited storage.

Anyone who signs up for an account during this free period, however, will remain free—and unlimited—forever.

Just found this today, wonderful program and it is incredibility easy to use, portable too!

SysInspector http://www.eset.com/download/sysinspector.php

Quote
ESET SysInspector is a free, state of the art diagnostic tool for Windows systems. It is also an integral part of ESET Smart Security 4 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4. It peers into your operating system and captures details such as running processes, registry content, startup items and network connections. Once a snapshot of the system is made, ESET SysInspector applies heuristics to assign a risk level for each object logged. Its intuitive graphical user interface enables the user to easily slice through the large volume of data using a slider to select objects of a particular color coded risk level for closer examination. ESET SysInspector is a convenient utility for the tool box of every IT expert and first responder.
Key Features:

    * Ability to generate and save a detailed log to be used by an IT expert or uploaded to an online forum for diagnosis
    * Option to exclude private, personal information from being saved in logs
    * Integrated Anti-Stealth technology allows discovering hidden objects (e.g. rootkits) in MBR, registry entries, drivers, services and processes
    * Ability to compare two existing logs for differences makes it easy to detect changes over time
    * Log entries are assigned a color code risk level for easy filtering
    * Intuitive hierarchical navigation of logs
    * Fast and compact single file executable, ideal for first responders to run from a USB drive without lengthy installation
