Updater and Control Panel
« on: February 23, 2004, 02:02:27 AM »
These were the facts:

1) I have only avast4 installed. Control Panel was ok.
2) I installed the PDA version and do not realize wath happened with the Control Panel. See picture bellow:

Strange, both icons were from the updater. If I click on the bigger one (of course, avast!4) I receive an error of the setiface.dll and could do nothing, neither change, nor update, repair or desinstall avast4.

I use my old setup.exe file. The only option was uninstall. I did  :'(
All my settings  :'(

Then I had the picture bellow:

Strange indeed!
The bytes of the PDA program decrese! The icon return to the avast4 version!  :(

I tried to install avast4 now...
I did not have an icon for it, just for the updater (PDA).

I uninstall the PDA version and install avast4 again. Now, I don't have the PDA updater and only avast4  :'(  :'(

This is a known problem in the version you have.
I think it has already been fixed. ;)

Do you 'think' or do you 'thought'...?
If I download a new version will it work?  ;)

I'm sure Vlk did not place the latest version on his web account, just wait for the official release, thanks.
