Ensure that you have the latest version of the VPS, this was corrected some time ago, the latest version of the VPS is 0768-4. What VPS version do you have (see about avast!) ?

So it would appear that you have changed the auto update settings as it should automatically check for and download any VPS update or your auto update isn't working ?

Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Well, I said that this problem has to be corrected by a program update (which has been postponed to the beginning of September, btw). The problem may have disappeared in one of the previous VPS, but it may have appeared again (I'm not saying it did, I don't know).
The final solution will be the program update - soon.

Thanks for the information igor. I remember you mentioning this.

Just tried the bootscan also...got the same message as calciver.

I'm just working from memory of posts on the forums that confirmed a previous VPS update corrected that can't do a boot-time scan problem.

It would be nice for those reporting this problem to confirm the VPS version that they are using ?

If this is with the current VPS then those needing to scan outside normal windows should try booting into safe mode and run a scan from there and see if that works.

DavidR...

I am using the most current VPS 000768-4 just issued today 08/26/07.

I don't need to do the bootscan.

Only wanted to try it as I saw the other poster needing to use it and having a problem with it.
I remember igor stating this was going to happen again possibly is all.

If I do need to do a scan...I will follow through with the safe mode scan.

Thanks, looks like we will have to wait for the program update for the complete fix, perhaps another VPS update might do a temporary job till then.
