AVS Update
« on: January 06, 2008, 07:15:36 PM »
Have a small SBS 2003 network - I installed Avast couple of months ago (multi year license.)

Noticed my VPS is 071229-0 (should be 080106-0?).  Client machines are complaining (A/V out-of-date.)

I presume it is the 'mirror' function (which is set to look for updates every 30 minutes) that quit working.  Are there any logs which would help find the problem?  Can I update the VPS manually?  Suggestions for resolving issue?

Noticed also event description - 'Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed, Return code is 0X20000011, dwRes is 20000011.' on or about the time the problem started.

Problem resolved w/ the help of the good people at Alwil.  A missing file was replaced.

problem is solved by re-install and change security properties of "c:\programme\alwil-admn" to fullservice for the user that has restricted access.
