auto deletion of infected files/virus

can avast automatically delete the virus when it detects without asking me what to do if yes how could i activate this function on my system ?

That option is only available in the Pro version of avast!

In the Home version, you can check the option "Don't show this window again" when in shows up when the first virus is found, and then you click on the button "No action". When you do this, the scan continues, and you will at the end of the scan, see the results of the scan and on that list you can perform actions.

you can do it in the AVAST screensaver scan,
my settings are REPAIR if fail MOVE TO CHEST........

Again, this is only on Pro (or trial) version, afik.

Even in the Home version, these option are available in the Screen Saver Scan, Advanced configuration.

I have just set it up  (I don't normally use a screen saver) and as you can see from the image, I have chosen, Repair, If Fail, Move to Chest, If Fail, Interactive, just to show some of the examples.

Now I haven't gone down the road of full testing using an eicar test file, but I would have though if the settings are there they would work ???
