Hi there,

we have just released another beta refresh of the Free AV and Internet Security products (5.0.259).

Free AV: http://files.avast.com/files/beta/5.0.259/setup_av_free.exe
Internet Security: http://files.avast.com/files/beta/5.0.259/setup_ais.exe

You should be able to go to this build by using the built-in updater as well.

Fixes in this build:

Both Free AV and IS:
- solved the pesky updater issue  (AvastUI.exe error 0xC0000022)
- solved a rare BSOD issue in aswSP.sys

IS only:
- dial-up network should now work as expected (and be firewalled)
- fixed a few bugs (crashes and issues) in the Virtualization component
- fixed a crash issue in the Outlook antispam plugin

and a few other things.

Thanks
Vlk

firewall seems to remember settings now...(VLK, avoid deleting posts, even when you think the post isn't useful anymore because a reported issue is fixed...that's very unpleasant. I'd rather have a quote with "fixed" than this)

Very nice indeed,

the internet security seems to run very smooth under Windows 7 (64 bit!). Even the Virtualization runs almost flawlessly Smiley. The German Translation seems to be almost complete (despite some small english phrases in the explorer context-menue "run virtualized", "Move to sandbox" ----> in German "Virtualisiert ausführen", "In die Sandbox verschieben").

One Question though:

Will the "Behaviour Blocker" be a part of the x64 Version of avast IS too, or is this feature only available on 32-bit-OS's. At this time You can navigate to the "Behaviour Blocker" but when you "read" the graph, this module doesn't do anything at the moment.

Greetings and continue this  great work (best UI in an internet-security so far Smiley )

WOW! very impressive and very light on win 7 x64.
seems like Alwil understands security.
should be good enough for the uninitiated and powerful enough for the tweakers.
have not seen any features that I thought was uneeded and great UI.
thanks for all the hard work and thoughtfulness.

I was win7 ultimate

After I upgrate avast from 5.0254 to 5.0259,the Operate system said there is no Anti-virus software in my computer, but at this time I am sure my avast is working!

Some of my friend have the same situation, too. But after I uninstall  and then install the avast, everything is all right.

PS:Sorry my english is not very good,I am chinese, hope you can understan my word~
