BEHAVIOR SHIELD IN 5.0.545 PROBLEM NEVER SOLVED!
« on: June 16, 2010, 07:12:58 PM »
I'm really tired! The behavior shield again when he wants to slow down the whole computer. Only a reboot solves everything; or disable the behavior shield. (For now! I hope not worst!).

I say what I have reported many times including user assistance.

AVAST TEAM Do you want to please fix this?
Thank you.

No problem on my XP Pro system.

Go to PROFILE then Modify Profile then Forum Profile Information then update your Signature: with information like my signature as this helps the helpers offer pertinent advice.

I have had no problems with the Behavior Shield. This system (XP PRO SP3) runs exactly the same with it either enabled or disabled.

Good news, I hope it's really fixed and an update is released soon. I love Avast but the Behavior Shield is unusable for me as it is. I just did a fresh OS install (XP SP3) and started to notice slowdowns after installing the newest Avast.

For example with the shield disabled a video file will start almost instantly when opened, but with the shield enabled the same file can take 3-4 seconds from the time of clicking to actually start playing. Browsing directories takes longer, and even such a simple thing as selecting multiple files/folders using the mouse causes the cursor to noticeably slow down/drop frames.
