How to install Avast4 on Ubuntu 10.10?

I would like to know how to install Avast 4 on Ubuntu 10.10. When I click the DEB fil it downloads, opens in the Ubuntu Software center... But when i click on install it does nothing. I have tried a few times now and i dont have the install button. I tried to run the command avast, avast4, and avast4workstation to no avail in terminal.

I'd also like to know how and if it is possible to install avast for linux server on ubuntu 10.10 or 10.04. I was also wondering if v-scan for samba works with avast since avast says so, but avast is not in the list of supported antivirus software on the v-scan website...

I assume it's some clumsy 64bit ubuntu, right? then, you must use the commandline installer - with --force-architecture switch:

few thousands I think, mainly parts of backdoor packages.
