They work well together as my signature shows.

For avast! IS you will have to exclude MBAM services though.

Snap MBAM Pro on win7 with avast free 6.0.945 beta and no problems.

I also haven't excluded any MBAM files or locations and the same in MBAM no avast folders excluded, though I would recommend excluding the c:\windows\temp\_avast5_ folder where avast unpacks/places temp files it is going to scan.

add these exclusions in file system shield/ exclusions and settings/exclusions, you'll probably have to copy and paste each one seperately, they might not be needed but they are here if you want to add them.

Why did you include this wildcard:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\*
C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\*

You already have excluded the files  ???

Thats what malwarebytes is now saying have to be excluded, but not really sure if avast needs them anyway.

For fear of repeating myself, but it appears necessary.

I have MBAM Pro on my win7 netbook with avast 6.0.945 beta and I have excluded none of the MBAM folders or files, what I have done is exclude the c:\windows\temp\_avast_ folder (if using avast 5 that would be the _avast5_ folder) so that the resident MBAM scanner doesn't scan files that avast sends/unpacks files in this folder so it can scan them.

I have otherwise not had any problems and I tend not to pre-empt problems but rather react to them.
