I've got a slew of these dat files that appear to be infected on my HP495 WHS.  Does anyone recognize the file location and can tell me what the program they belong to?

Hello,
similar names have snapshots of VirtualBox images. They have extension .sav or .vdi.

Milos, I'm not sure what you mean?

These are files from the WHS backup database.
Make sure WHS does leave them untouched or else you will end up with database curruption!

By default "C:\FS\?\DE\*" is on the scanners exclusion list (see avast! Program Settings)

Btw: The Data.4096.*** files contain raw cluster data so I would ignore any warnings on these files provided your clients are protected by avast.

If that's the case then why would it be picked up?  I have not modified the default settings; it's still in the exclusion list.
