C:\pagefile.sysINFECTED: Win32:DNSChanger-VJ [Trj]
« on: April 17, 2011, 09:41:32 PM »
I keep finding this C:\pagefile.sys   INFECTED: Win32:DNSChanger-VJ [Trj]  with my Avast! BART disc - Version 3.0.215 - Licensed.

I keep deleting the virus, but it shows up again in every scan even though Avast! BART shows deleted successfully.

I forgot to say that Symantec dial in technical support ran some programs, then told me this finding was a false positive virus.

Personally I would clear the pagefile (option to clear on shutdown) and reboot.

See image, this is on my XP Pro Help and Support search for pagefile.
