Rootkit
« on: December 07, 2011, 09:14:38 AM »
Hello

Avast popped up a box saying that thee was a rootkit and suggested that i deleted it and did a boot scan. I did both but the warning reappeared immediately afterwards. I did a scan with malewarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware but other than a few tracking cookies found by the latter the system appeared to be clean.

Could you, please, have a look at the attached logs? This is not my computer (Qompac Mini) and I have not managed to get a screen shot with PrnScr.

Thank you very much

qim

I will send further message with malwarebytes report

If it's the file floppy sys, it's a false positive. Just update definitions to the latest, reboot and all will be ok. If it's not that, just wait for an expert to reply.

Thankas for the info.

However, the system seems to be very, very slow. Any chance someone could have a look at the logs to see if there is something lurking somewhere?

thank you very much
