How rude of me not to reply. Went away for a little while sorry.

I uninstalled the plug in, restarted, re-install, restarted, and nothing changed.
Repaired Avast, nothing changed.
Re-installed Avast, nothing changed.
I am not running it in sandbox.
It does not appear in the extensions area in Options. I dont know how to make it appear, I hit Load Unpacked Extension and went to where WebRep was located and it was just a folder so it didnt work.

He stated before that it wasn't working when he tried the solutions so I am assuming no. So that makes three people here that can't get WebRep working x-x.

1. Open folder C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\WebRep\Chrome
2. Find file AswWebRepChrome.crx
3. Drag it on Google Chrome icon.

Thanks,  :)
I'm running windows 8 Developers Preview and therefore can't use avast!
Since avast! is installed on my Windows 7 partition, I used your method and
dragged the file AswWebRepChrome.crx to the Google bar next to my "virus total" extension
and once dropped was asked it I wanted to install the extension.
As you can see, I now have WebRep installed even though avast! is unfortunately not installed.

Thanks very much for letting us know this, I really appreciate it very much!.. rm

There isn't any Google icon. It's the bar where you find all the other Extensions:

Just drag the file to where ever you want it to appear on that bar.
I placed it to the left of the "Virus Total" extension.

You have to go to Google Chrome Extensions within Google Chrome to set the WebRep Extension.

bob3160 as you are running Windows 8 it is hard to help someone running Windows XP SP3 Pro like I am. ;)

Sorry YoKenny but in this case, you're totally wrong.
Google Chrome is Google Chrome it has nothing to do with the platform on which I'm running it.

Your welcome.
You can also drag AswWebRepChrome.crx to the Google Chrome icon on your desktop.
Choose which ever method suites your fancy.
Again, thanks to joe_monster for originally pointing out this trick.

(it should also work with any other Chrome extension.)
