Avast WebRep chrome extension causes google reader formatting problem

Hi avast developers. This is kind of a bug report.
I'm a avast free anti-virus user for years and am happy to find a free way to contribute to this great software. 

The WebRep chrome extension seems to cause my google reader some formatting problem in the list view mode. The news title overlaps with the separate line like the attachment will show. And if I disable WebRep the problem will be gone.

I hope you guys will solve this problem soon. Thank you very much!

It appears like this has been happening clear back to November 2011. I don't see a solution though. Other than turning webrep off or using IE9.

Really it is a bug that needs fixing but as long as you have the Web Shield active, surfing without WebRep should be fairly safe, if only a temp fix.

Thank you, guys. That's too bad for me because I like chrome. I guess I have to stop using WebRep for a while and wait for the bug fix.

I have the same problem - Windows XP SP3, Avast 7.0.1407, WebRep 6.0.1407, Google Chrome 17.0.963.56.

I tried to change language in Google Reader from Czech to English and vice versa - still the same problem.
There is no problem in Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox 10.0.2.
There is no problem, if RSS entry does not contains image.

I am experiencing this same Reader issue with Avast Webrep version 7.0.1426 and Chrome version 16.0.912.75

And from the response I saw in the older thread, there is no fix for the graphical issue other than deactivating the plugin. Also, one can conclude that if browsing without the plugin is safe, then why should anyone bother to use the plugin?

without WebRep, u will be losing out on the phishing protection of Avast. web shield component does not have phishing protection.

I use Google Chrome 17.0.963.83 and am having the same issue with the WebRep (7.0.1426) causing Google Reader formatting problem.  I would appreciate a resolution as I like using both Chrome and Avast.  Thank you.

The current avast beta build has resolved some issues in the WebRep:

I believe this may have been one of them, but I don't use Chrome or Google reader, so I can't say.
