There's not a lot to worry about with Linux, and security. The Basics, like not logging in as root is a major one.
I don't want you worrying. Say we run a Avast! scan there's lots of "Errors" in the final log, but they aren't errors, just locations Avast! doesn't have permission to access. What I look at when scanning Linux with Avast!; the main UI, and 'There are 0 infected files.' That's all that is important.
MSEC creates a Log:
You should find them in /var/log/msec.log
you need to open the file as root.
