I just installed Avast the other day and every time I try to open it I get the message "Application needs to be repaired. Please authorize yourself." It is the latest up-to-date version. Is there any way to fix this?

Is your account an admin on the Mac? The application should repair itself fin this case but sounds like it is waiting for you to enter your admin credentials?

Have a look into the system log (/var/log/system.log). You will find there more info about what's wrong.

How do you find "/var/log/system.log?"

I recently updated and re-registered my Avast program, and now I can't open it.
