Hello,

avast is spamming me with a pop up window that says a threat has been blocked. The pop up makes a noise as it is generated 51 times, then rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Please find attached logs that were requested by the admins in the sticky thread.

That looks to be in an email..  Have you emptied your deleted e-mail folders ?

Look at the entire file path, do you recognise that e-mail

Hello and thanks for your responses.

The "entire path" looks like a foreign language to me. I do not recognize that email.

I use gmail and hotmail through the web and have nothing in spam, deleted, or trash folders.

I sent all my spam emails to trash (gmail) and deleted (outlook) and then deleted the latter. After reboot, problem no longer persists.

Thank you for your help. I will brush up on security with some of your resources here as a result of stopping by.

Best, N.

One of your e-mail had an HTML attachment or a code within the e-mail which was triggering the Avast alert, not a usual occurrence

Subject to no further problems   :)

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems
