Title: Cant access secure sites
Post by: yudi on January 11, 2005, 07:42:20 PM
I installed Avast Home edition and now i cannot access any https sites.
It just comes up with a error message

HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed

or in the case of hotmail will not load similar if using banks etc.

It also wont open anything to with java application

ie. if there is a picture as a thumb an i want to view it larger it wont open.

It must be something to do with this software....i did have the Trojan virus on the computer and it deleted many files so i dont know if this had something to do with it.

The only thing i can think of now is to unistall IE and reinstall it again.

Please help!

Avast does not block https access.
Set everything back to default in IE and try again.

Have you tried another browser?
If not, I suggest you do so.

HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed

I have this some time ago into a Maxthon + Outpost Firewall + avast system.
I can't say any conclusion of 'what' is causing this...
I suggest you test:

1) Open the link in another window (or browser)
2) Click on the button 'Go'
3) Check your script security settings (generally, Tools > Options > Security)
