Title: Locate device by 3g/data if wifi not available
Post by: tc1967uk on February 22, 2013, 09:11:14 PM
Hi

I've noticed that it tries to locate the device by switching on WiFi and GPS, but not 3G.  Can this be enabled, and if so, can you please give me step-by-step directions on how to do this please?

This i have answered for another thread but i might as well share it with you.
Hi i had the same problem found out that Google remove this option from Avast (automaticlly enable GPS) if you go to web site and click on Anti-Theft then Change Settings. The box opens in Basic mode click on Advanced and there you will see an information bubble that states google has removed this, gives you a solution but i have no idea how to install to the root of my phone.
Hope this helps

No, not GPS.  I've enabled GPS now my phone is rooted, but I'd like to see an option of using 3G when WiFi isn't available.
