Perform a clean installation of the latest version.

What happens if you select "switch to" ?

I've seen this a few times and it seems to have something to do with the startup order.
Hitting the try again worked when I saw this popup. (Mine occurred in Windows 10)

What happens if you select "switch to" ?

nothing,i had to uninstall it as my son had problems open Bluestacks as well, and even internet connection  will not activate,
after uninstalling it at the moment is ok and activated windows defender,i don't know what happened as i used avast for many years now,

i have a netbook also, and i was experiencing another problem,,that when i open internet explorer ,Google and even Firefox i had messages that it has to be closed, and after 5 or more replies its ok,now i uninstalled it and browsing didn't told me any error

are here being noticed by Avast team?as i might report this error to them as well

Hi, after this I would like you to re-install Avast and let me know if the problem recurs

Uninstall Chrome
Unless you did this yourself, malware has changed your Chrome version into the Development Build. Among other things this allows malware to install any extension it wants. We need to resolve this.

1. If you have bookmarks, let's save them by exporting them - Export Bookmarks (http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=96816)
2. Then I need you to go Google Sync (https://www.google.com/settings/chrome/sync) and sign into your account
3. Scroll down until you see the "Stop and Clear" button and click on the button. At the prompt click on "Ok"
4. Now we need to uninstall chrome.
Note: When asked about user data or settings you must remove this also so please check the box.
5. Restart the computer .

tried to uninstall Google, but not found in Add  and remove in control panel, deleted and shrunk Google files and in reinstall told me that i have recent files and cannot go on,im feed up now,now im reinstalling avast after the uninstall, then il see what happens after some scans

the issue now is that Google cant be installed ,WHY ?Mozilla is working ok since now, hope this will stay

NB:-FOR THE TIME BEING GOOGLE INSTALLED AFTER AVAST BOOT SCAN,NOW ILL SEE HOW IT GOES,

BUT STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY INTERNET CONNECTION TAKES LONG TO BE ACTIVE.

Title: Re: Email blocking

is that there's existing files ,but i managed to install even avast,at the moment im ok,but the main issue that is annoying me now that internet connection is taking too long to be activated, lets say about 5 minutes, then is ok

Do you use Bluetooth a lot on your system as that will load before the net, if you do not then disable it and see if that helps
Title: Re: Email blocking

what you mean?my daughter use WiFi,and me sometimes too on my netbook, you mean before it configure itself on PC will activate the other connections?or search for active devises around the house?

in my broadband connection properties i have these ticked

Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP IPv6)

Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP IPv4)

Title: Re: Email blocking
Post by: essexboy on April 07, 2015, 04:57:54 PM
That is correct, at the moment you have Bluetooth searching at system start and that may delay the acquisition of the wifi network

In the search box type Msconfig and select the programme that appears at the top

1.In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Selective Startup on the General tab.
2.Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.
NoteThe Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.
3.Click the Services tab.
4.Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.
5.Click Disable All, and then click OK.

You could boot to safe mode and set the clean boot from there

Either which as you will reboot to normal mode once done
