Title: Updating....
Post by: char_aznable on October 26, 2005, 01:50:01 PM
Hey, I've just used Avast! 4.6.691 on my PC. It's cool and doesn't hog on system resources. However, I am experiencing some difficulties on updating the iAVS!. Whenever, I update, I only receive the following messages:

I have successfully updated the iAVS! once upon installation, furtherĀ  update attempts where unsuccessful. On the very first and only successful update, I have pre-installed a firewall, ZoneAlarm, but did not prevent it from updating because I already have allowed permission for Avast to connect to the Internet. How am I going to update my iAVS in the future?

Right click the blue ball near the clock and choose "program settings"
Set the update options as you wish.

You don't say which parts of avast you have allowed access?

ZA has a habit of forgetting its settings, so it is possible that you have blocked the avast.setup that is required for the update process to happen. Ensure this file isn't blocked in ZA, if it is allow it access. Don't go looking on the HDD this file only exists for the update process.

How am I going to update my iAVS in the future?
How do you connect? Dial-up? DSL?
How do you set avast! Update (Connections) tab of settings?
