BeClean 1.2 (http://boozet.xepher.net/download/beclean120.exe) has a feature of Regis-try cleaning for missing and invalid keys, clean up registry entries from the files that no longer exist on the system. I have the following log:

But if I try to undo the changes that BeClean made (in other words, restore the entries that Be-Clean removed from the registry), double-click the Undo.reg file generated in backup folder of BeClean does not restore the entry for avast! antivirus into the Control Panel.
I made a test: copy some Windows Hotfixes backup files (C:\Windows\$NtUninstallKB…\) to another folder, delete the files, run BeClean again. The Windows entries 'disappear'. For in-stance:

I return back the files and run the 'undo' changes of BeClean. I pressed F5 into Add/Remove tool on Control Panel and all entries were restored and working. I tried just with one hotfix and install it again after.
1. Why BeClean is deleting ONLY the avast! entry on the Control Panel applet?
2. Why the undo .reg file cannot restore this entry again?
By the way, the entry for avast saved into the undo .reg file is:

The files and the folders marked in bold above exist and were correct in my system and I tested both with Process Guard (http://www.diamondcs.com.au/downloads/pgfree.exe) blocking the ashServ.exe file and not. Does not work with Process Guard not installed either.

I forgot to said: the only way to have the avast! entry in the Control Panel is uninstalling avast! and installing again. Of course, I lose all the configurations, the avast4.ini file and so on…
For sure, there is no other application that Registry cleaning feature of BeClean removes from the Control Panel applet!
The 'Repair' function of avast! does nothing about this…

Cojo, you used BeClean in the past...
Do you have an icon for avast! antivirus into your Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs)?
Do you set the 'Registry cleanning' option of BeClean to run?

Very thanks Cojo, I did not realize that was an upgrade from 1.2...
I'm downloading the 1.4 now as the version history says that some bug was fixed/removed:
BeClean Version 1.4 (December 2003)
Removed: Registry Cleaner - ActiveX Control Section
Fixed: Compability issue with Windows XP SP1 ;)

The BeClean problem was in version 1.2 and was corrected in 1.3 and now it is on 1.4. If you did not tell me, I wond't notice that there were such a update! Thank you! Everything is working fine now and the avast! icon is on my Control Panel again!
