Title: Refund question
Post by: tektite2 on June 15, 2020, 12:37:55 AM
So... been using avast for several years. (and still want it) I got a new pc so I went with a multi plan avast subscription (to cover my parents pc cause they havent had one since windows xp). but i forgot and like many probably have complained before. accidentally left auto renew on my old subscription (wish it was set to off by default but it doesnt matter)

My question is... how long generally are the refunds to be addressed and gone through. I only put it in today (yesterday by this websites timezone) so i know it will be a couple days at least but i didn't even get an email confirming i made a refund ticket. I'm really nervous. I cant afford to pay 50 then a couple days later another 70 for the same thing. :c

As an Avast User I can't say exactly.

Since today when you posted was a Sunday there would be no action, it can be around 5 business days, however this could increase depending on your payment method.  e.g. Bank Payments could take longer to appear in your account as cleared funds.

You should have got a support ticket email with the Ticket ID.

Did you place it here ?
-  Refund request - https://support.avast.com/en-ww/contact/sales_refund (https://support.avast.com/en-ww/contact/sales_refund) If you haven't got the Order ID, etc enter 00000000 and give as much information that you can to help identify it.

Any email that you gave should be the same as that used when you ordered (or they may have difficulty in finding it.

With the tab open, I would bookmark that tab should you need to access it again.

Whilst I have never had to access the support ticket system, I fairly sure that you should have received an email.  The most common reason for non-receipt is a typo in the email address that you gave or that it is your email spam folder.

Thanks for the responses but i got my refund. I'm sorry if i was a lil annoying. I'm sure there are alot of other posts like mine asking about refunds.

I'm just happy i could get the money back cause during times like these. 70 bucks is several meals. Thank you for your help. Was just really anxious over it. only took a day so it was great service though.
