Title: Rootkit
Post by: BornCynic on August 02, 2007, 11:01:41 AM
Does anyone know whether McAfee Rootkit Detective v1.0 conflicts with Avast v4.7?

Don't know about that one, but I know that AVG's antirootkit, Rootkit revealer, and Blacklight don't. I'd be surprised if there was a conflict, Avast seems to me to be one of the better security softwares for "playing well" with others.
(Unless they're evil, of course.  ;D )

I assumed it wouldn't but McAfee lists security sites approved for use with the rootkit detector and Avast is conspicuous by its absence ...
