Title: SMTP Alert problem

Cannot set up alert for my Broadband mail account. Any suggestions?

Vista Home Prem (noSP1), AvastHome file v. 081015-0, Comodo firewall, FF, Thunderbird, Superantispyware.

What exactly does it mean, "cannot set up"?
What happens/doesn't happen...?
