Hi,
In Windows 7 sp1 I tried to remove the p2p shield by going to control panel>programs and features and clicking on Avast CHANGE. I unchecked the checkmark in p2p and it was replaced by an x. I clicked next and it was doing something and I x'd out of that. Then there was a box saying something was being removed (might have been mail). It requested a reboot and I clicked okay.
After the computer booted up I notice that I still have the p2p Shield running and the program has been changed to version 6.0.1125 (from version 6.0.1091).
I was planning on updating to version 6.0.1125 after removing the p2p shield. I would still like to remove it and would like to know how, since it seems I did something wrong.
Thank you.
Sincerely, Libra

I believe that any changes to the program configuration (adding/removing a module - shield, language, ...) need to update the program to the latest version first.

Thank you, igor! I tried it again and was successful!
Do I need to change any folder options to see the folder "Program Data"? I can see it on Vista, but not Windows 7.

It should be a hidden folder on Windows 7
C:\ProgramData
Into Windows Explorer settings you can show the hidden folders.
