Title: Virus definitions updates fail
Post by: Adam Burman on June 23, 2012, 07:37:18 AM
I have been using Avast for years, with no issues.

Suddenly I am getting a message that "The package is broken" when it tries to update.

This started in the last 24 hours.

Repair avast!:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> avast!
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Thanks Asyn!

Very weird, but, just as I was reading your advice, I had the green notice pop up saying my virus database has been updated.

Must have been a bug on Avast side.
