Title: Cannot modify avast4.ini
Post by: gdscons on July 02, 2012, 11:29:11 PM
Good evening, I need to edit avast4.ini on a Windows2003 Terminal Server, the reason is that I want to add a line in MailScanner section to bring MaxConnection from default (20) to 40.
My problem is that even as Administrator I dont' have the privileges to do that; even creating a new text file in Avast folder is impossible as the system retturns a "not enough privileges" message.
This problem seems to be restricted to Avast folder and not to other folders relative to SW prodducts under c: \Programs.
I tried to stop avast services and edit avst4.ini but it didn't work.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks

Isn't it necessary to disable the avast! self protection module?
