Title: VRDB & Virus clean-up
Post by: test23p on January 04, 2005, 07:28:50 AM
Hello to all from a new user. Seems to be quite an active forum with helpful users.
(now that i've buttered you up, here's the newbie questions)

1.) What resources does VRDB use as it creates it's base? Storage space required?

2.) What is the best / safest way to take another try at cleaning the infected files in chest. Are they scanned again if/when you rescan your computer?

Thanks,
Pat

Welcome...  8)

1) What resources does VRDB use as it creates it's base? Storage space required?

Answers about VRDB could be found on FAQ in my signature. Browse a little...
Storage size depends on the ammount of executables you have in your machine.
Resources? You can set when VRDB will be created (screen saver or idle time).

2) What is the best / safest way to take another try at cleaning the infected files in chest. Are they scanned again if/when you rescan your computer?

If you right click a file into Chest you can scan it again. It will be usefull if you update the virus database before testing again.
No, the files into Chest are not scanned again on regular basis. They're just stored there.
