Title: Can't get rid of a duplicating trojan
Post by: MercerDawn on July 16, 2012, 05:35:22 AM
So as the subject header explains, I can't seem to get rid of a duplicating trojan. To start, My computer is Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. It started earlier today when I ran a virus scan on Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and found 3 viruses. I thought nothing of it before deleting them and restarting my computer. I ran it again for safety and found the same three. I then decided to download avast! off of cnet.com and I used it. To my amazement it found 7 viruses. I went about deleting them, restarted my computer, and did the Boot-time Scan. While avast! deleted a COUNTLESS number of infected files (thanks for that) I can't seem to get rid of three things. A trojan, a trojan horse, and malware. I've REPEATEDLY deleted those things in today ALONE and now my Virus Chest is LITERALLY clogged with duplicates of the exact same three problems. For what it's worth, the infection is labeled as:

Win32:Downloader-PKU [trj]

Can anyone help?
